Learn Denaakk'e (Koyukon) via teleconference

This Fall Koyukon language expert Dr. Eliza Jones will offer a 3-credit conversational language class by distance through the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The only equipment necessary to join the course is access to a telephone. The class will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 5:30-6:30, beginning Thursday, September 5.

    1. Naknek is in Yup'ik spelled Nakniq, from the word naker- 'to be straight'.
