SB 130 still in finance committee

Alaska State Senate bill 130, which would create the Alaska Native Language Preservation & Advisory Council, remains in the Finance committee after a hearing last Wednesday. The Finance Committee will vote soon. Meanwhile, the House Companion bill, HB 254, has past the House State Affairs and will be heard before the House Finance Committee soon. Transcripts of the Finance Committee hearing have not been posted but should be available here.
