Native language signage at new UAF nature trail

Back in 2008 the University of Alaska Fairbanks renamed the Calypso nature trail in honor of botanist Les Viereck (1930-2008). Today the trail was rededicated with new signage, including many Lower Tanana Athabaskan names. Rather appropriately, the trail is located at the end of a the ridge whose Lower Tanana name, Troth Yeddha', was just last week endorsed as an official name by the university Board of Regents.
