New printing of language map adds Denali

The next printing of the Indigenous Peoples and Languages of Alaska map, compiled by Michael Krauss, will include the Native name for Denali in five adjacent language areas:

  • Deenaalee (Koyukon)
  • Denadhi (Lower Tanana)
  • Dghelaay Ce'e (Ahtna)
  • Dghelay Ka'a (Dena'ina)
  • Denaze (Upper Kuskokwim)

The map should be available later this summer from the Alaska Native Language Center.
